Leo is not sure Shay has what it takes to work at Vault of Sin. First of all, she has no idea what kind of activities takes place there. Secondly, he is afraid it will send her running. Leo is not surprised when Shay balks at seeing him interacting with another couple. He wants her to understand what Vault of Sin is all about, but Leo does not want to lose Shay because there is a definite connection between them. Leo has been hurt in the past, but he cannot turn down a chance at love with Shay. And Shay holds all the cards.
A SHOT OF SIN is a page-turner. I was entranced with Shay from the minute she snarkily commented on her customer's drink order. She is loads of fun. There is something bittersweet about the moments before you make it official with someone; back when things are flirty and fun and there are no expectations. The banter between Shay and Leo makes me reminisce of my younger years. Never has a title matched a book's description as A SHOT OF SIN. I am looking forward to the second book in Ms. Summers' addictive VAULT OF SIN series.
