Trent Knightley and his two brothers are partners in a law firm. Trent practices family law, dealing with domestic relations. One of the attorneys in Trent's department is out on maternity leave so Trent needs a replacement immediately, one who can temporarily replace her and then fill the vacancy spot in corporate law when she returns to work. A meeting with his brothers informs him that a replacement has been found. The interview was conducted while Trent was tied up in court. Since his divorce, Trent spends his time working and taking care of his daughter, who is in his sole custody. He does not have much time for dating, but from the moment that Trent meets Hannah, he is attracted to her.

Single mother and new attorney Hannah Stark has set her sights on corporate law, where there is plenty of paperwork but not much need to spend time in the courtroom. After being in the foster system for most of her life, the last place she wants to work is in domestic court, but she doesn't have much money left and the job will help fill the coffers. So she reluctantly agrees to spend six months working in Trent's department. With secrets from her past, including a name change, Hannah has very few friends and she is very protective of her daughter.

Spending so much time together only increases the sparks between Trent and Hannah, but she knows that it is better for her and her daughter if she keeps her distance. But with A SINGLE KISS from her boss, Hannah feels her resistance melting. Intimacy soon ensues, but when her worse nightmare starts coming true, will Trent have her back?

A heartwarming tale, A SINGLE KISS, the first book in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Grace Burrowes' SWEETEST KISSES series, is a sensual, emotion-packed contemporary romance that will captivate readers. Trent knows that Hannah is hiding something and he wishes that she would confide in him. Meanwhile, due to her past, Hannah is not very trusting, but as their friendship heats up, she cannot help longing for a future with this man she is falling for. The two little girls were a delight. They provided that delectable touch of childlike innocence and humor. There is also a close bond between Trent and his two brothers and I look forward to reading their stories too.

The love and closeness between the three brothers will have readers falling for these men and eagerly anticipating each novel as well as discovering the type of woman meant for each of them.

I am already a fan of Ms. Burrowes' historical romances, but this story has made me love her contemporary work just as much. The worst part about reading this author's books is the wait for the next release date. Fortunately, each of the three books in this series, A SINGLE KISS, THE FIRST KISS and KISS ME HELLO, are being released a month apart, plus there are two novellas, KISS AND TELL and A KISS FOR LUCK, which are already available.
