Keith Connors and Tina Black are wounded souls. They’re afraid to love again. They have one thing in common, though, the mutual love of a little boy named Jack. Sometimes things just happen despite what you think you want.
Keith Connors has recovered from his football injury and ready to return to the game. Since his wife died giving birth to their son there has been a steady stream of nannies in and out of their lives.
Tina Black has come to
When Tina and Keith are re-introduced by Bobby Anthony, another friend from their hometown, she and Jack bond as if they’re meant to be together. This intrigues Keith and he offers her the position of Jack’s nanny. Each is quite clear that they’re boss and employee.
Sometimes we don’t always get what we want. The attraction between Keith and Tina seems to grow daily. Little by little he introduces her and his son to his teammates. Unfortunately, there is a spy in the house who could ruin the budding relationship. The housekeeper, hired when Keith’s wife was alive, watches everything that happens in the house. She reports back to Keith’s former mother-in-law. In fact, the MIL continues to insist that she take Jack home with her. She doesn’t want him influenced by his father’s friends or anything else related to his profession. She can introduce Jack to the kind of life she believes he should have.
Ann Jacobs has another hit on her hands with her second GRIDIRON LOVERS story. In FORWARD PASS, you’ll be re-introduced to people you met in the first book. This story is full of emotion, both good and bad. Feelings sometimes get in the way of a person’s ability to think rationally. In this instance, those feelings are much needed. Keith and Tina’s love for one another is about to be put to the test. The outcome will either draw them closer or tear them apart.
I warn you, you’ll definitely need tissues with this one. The storyline grabs you and doesn’t let go. It’ll alternately make you furious enough to slap someone, cry your heart out and laugh until you cry good tears. Hey, if you’re not a football aficionado, don’t worry. Anything you don’t understand will be answered in the glossary of football terminology at the beginning of the story.
Don’t miss this one. It could be read as a stand-alone, but you’ll have a better understanding of the storyline and relationship of the characters if you read them in order. So, please, don’t miss FORWARD PASS and the first book, NAKED BOOTLEG. HOT IN THE CLUTCH and COACH ME follow
