Every once in awhile, a debut author comes along that makes you sit back and say "Wow". Nancy Herkness is that author for me. This story of love, betrayal, healing, and triumph is a true story from the heart. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to read more.

Kate Chilton has been a grieving widow for over a year. Thanks to the help of her friends, especially Oliver, one of her husband’s business partners, she’s somehow made it through the loss of her soul mate. But now things have changed, since David did not leave Kate and his children, Patrick and Clay, financially equipped to deal with his loss. She needs to sell her shares in the company, needs to get a job, needs to start living again.

She plans on it, until the day that she discovers a letter from her husband’s mistress. Now a grieving widow and a scorned wife, Kate has no where to direct her anger at her husband’s betrayal. So she decides to pay him back in the only way she knows how---by seducing and having a one-night stand with another man. Not quite the same, she knows, but the only thing she can come up with.

Enter Randall Johnson, millionaire, entrepreneur, man-about-town. When they meet at an alumni gathering, sparks fly. When he asks her out, however, she says no. Until she realizes later that Mr. Johnson is the perfect one-night-stand.

What follows is a story of sexual tension and passion that will leave you breathless. Just reading the words made my heart beat faster. Kate and Randall are made for each other but just don’t seem to know it. You’ll be happy that you get to go along on their ride to discovery.

This book is beyond wonderful. Fast-paced, well-written, full of humor and love, Ms. Herkness has just earned a place on my automatic TBR list. Even with the paper cuts I got on my fingers from turning the pages so fast, along with the heart palpitations and scorch marks on my hands, I would definitely recommend A BRIDGE TO LOVE to all true romantics. I can truthfully say that you won’t be disappointed.
