Steding's A DIET TO DIE FOR: A SKINNY MYSTERY has a wonderful heroine in Jen since no matter what is going on she's right in the thick of things. She always tries to think the best of others even when it's not warranted. She seems tough on the outside but we find out she's not and although she doesn't let on she is often hurt by her friends and coworkers both intentionally and unintentionally. Alex is a nice foil for her and it was interesting to watch their exchanges and give and take. The prologue and epilogue tied the storyline together and gave nice closure although some of the dialogue points in the direction that we'll be meeting up with Jen and Alex again in a future SKINNY MYSTERY - I hope so. They had a nice friendship that always had undercurrents of their attraction and it looks like they're heading towards a real romance. There were friends, family, too many coworkers, laughter, tears, heartache and sorry, happy times and a mystery to solve. All in all, an enjoyable read!
A DIET TO DIE FOR: A SKINNY MYSTERY was a nice introduction to the Yummy Channel and Jen and all her friends and coworkers. There were some great recipes in the back of the book some of which I may give a try. I hope we meet up with them all again in a future SKINNY MYSTERY. I will be adding future books by Steding to my TBR pile.
