A Home for Christmas

Dr. Janice Thornton doesn’t trust in love.  Her parents didn’t demonstrate the finer emotions, sending her to boarding schools and avoiding all displays of emotion and tradition, even when she came home at Christmas time.  Her former fiancé thought that love meant Janice would sacrifice her dreams of becoming a doctor to support him in his career and stay at home with their children.  So Janice stays safe, taking care of her patients and working too hard to have a personal life, anonymous in the big city.  Until her great-uncle invites her for a visit to her mother’s hometown of Angel Ridge, Tennessee.

The only place Janice ever felt at home was in Angel Ridge during a couple of brief visits with her grandparents.  Returning to the quaint town stirs feelings of belonging and a desire to connect with the lovely old man she scarcely remembers from her childhood.  Her great-uncle asks her to take over his medical practice and stay in Angel Ridge.  But could a successful city doctor truly find satisfaction in a town with a population of 343?

And then there’s Blake, the gorgeous man who bought her grandparents’ home to restore it.  If she stays in Angel Ridge, she’ll have to face her fears, to ask for the love she doesn’t want to need, for fear of being disappointed one more time.  But the town’s guardian angels have plans for Janice and Blake, plans that just might bring Janice home to stay forever.

A HOME FOR CHRISTMAS is a feel good community tale in the best tradition of storytellers like Debbie Macomber.  Angel Ridge is a warm, comfortable place I’d like to visit again, full of caring people anyone would love to have for neighbors.  Share your holiday season with the people in Angel Ridge.  You won’t be disappointed.
