Hunter O’Malley, a race car driver, is used to traveling the country racing cars.  After his father’s death, he is shocked when he learns that his father, Seamus, has left half of his life insurance and half of the ownership of his bar, O’Malley’s Pub, to Marley Sullivan.  Furthermore, Hunter is incensed when he hears the stipulation of the will.  To receive any inheritance, he must work in his father’s bar and live in the apartment over the bar, next door to Marley, for six months.

Marley Sullivan, the barmaid and acting manager at O’Malley’s Pub, has a dream of owning the bar.  Having worked at O’Malley’s since shortly after her mother kicked her out at the age of sixteen, the bar feels more like home than anywhere she has ever been.  Seamus had promised he would take care of her and not sell the bar out from under her. If only Hunter cooperates, she can buy his half of the bar with the rest of her inheritance.  However she does not believe that Hunter, who she perceives as an arrogant, irresponsible playboy, will be able to tolerate working in the bar night after night for six months.

While helping Hunter clear out his father’s house, Marley begins seeing another side of him.  The physical attraction between them is strong.  Working side by side day after day only increases the sexual tension, but Hunter makes no secret of the fact that he plans to leave as soon as the six months is up.  Will he be able to stay in one place long enough to adhere to the terms of the will?

I really enjoyed reading “A MAN FOR MARLEY.”  This book is hard to put down.  The interaction among the secondary characters at the bar is heartwarming, and the sexual tension between Hunter and Marley is sizzling.  I recommend “A Man for Marley” to anyone looking for a lighthearted, steamy romance.  This book contains explicit sex and graphic language.
