A PASSIONATE LOVE AFFAIR WITH A TOTAL STRANGER has so many undercurrents and storylines and quite a cast of characters that I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster ride throughout.  Each of Charlotte's family members were so different from each other but were real and meshed well and I could feel the love surrounding them and Granny Helen was loved by all.  Best friend Hailey was mostly there for Charley but she definitely had her own issues to deal with.

Robinson's A PASSIONATE LOVE AFFAIR WITH A TOTAL STRANGER is fast paced but gets stuck on loves that are all wrong for each other.  John is a piece of work that I could see through from the beginning but unfortunately Lambert doesn't and gets hurt over and over again as a result even when she's supposed to be happy.  Her co-worker Margot who reports to her has her own agenda and isn't happy unless someone else is miserable. Cyber Love Assistants and First Date Aid were interesting concepts of "cyberdating" to meet your potential mate. Trying to keep the love interest emails straight from Charlotte's and Sam's own thoughts was difficult at times but Sam definitely came into his own when helping Charlotte set up the business. There was fear, lust, romance, love, laughter, tears, loss, pain, anger, misunderstandings and happiness.  There were several happily ever afters that were unexpected but the story ended too abruptly for me although there was some closure.  The British English was sometimes difficult to understand without a glossary of words.

Robinson has written three other books and I will have to give them a read as well next time I'm in the need of laughter and Brit humor.
