Mya Strano represents all things cool.  She scopes out all the latest trends and fads, and she always knows what's hip and what's not.  When her mom calls crying that the ratings for her cooking show are dropping, Mya feels it's her duty to make the show one of the coolest an hottest cooking programs on television.  She immediately packs up and heads to LA to save the day.

Mya is in for a surprise when she finds out her childhood archenemy is also helping with the show.  Eric Baldini represents everything uncool from his clothes to his dumpy van.  But, there is a definite attraction between them that is just itching to be explored.  Underneath his nerdiness, Eric is quite handsome.  His big sexy body and charming smile are especially appealing.  He's shocked to discover how much Mya has changed, and he can't seem to get her out of his mind.

When Eric and Mya meet with the show's producers, a heated argument ensues about whose ideas are going to be used for the cooking program.  Mya wants a total coolness makeover, and Eric wants to do a reality type show.  There's no way Mya is going to let her Italian family be made a fool of on national television.  So, the competition begins and mayhem reigns.  Will they be able to pull off a hit and make the ratings soar, or will total chaos hit this crazy fun family?

In the midst of one disaster after another, Mya and Eric find themselves falling in love.  Is Mya so headstrong and competitive that it will stand in her way of realizing Eric is the key to her happiness?  Or, will she find out just what a treasure her childhood nemesis really is?

It was really great to see how Mya came to be a better person throughout the story.  She realizes that coolness isn't everything, and at the end of the day, love and appiness are what make life complete.  A PINCH OF COOL by Mary Leo is a totally hilarious romantic comedy.  My favorite scene was definitely the bathroom peep show.  It was outrageously funny and hot at the same time.  The whole book was great!  Any fan of romantic comedy is sure to be delighted with A PINCH OF COOL, coming in March from Harlequin Flipside.
