Noticing a lady sitting in the car on the side of the road with a flat tire, Dan Newman goes to offer his help. The last person he expected to see in that car was Maggie; especially a pregnant Maggie. He’d been in love with Maggie for as long as he could remember. It broke his heart when she married his brother, but he kept his distance and tried to go on with his life. His marriage ended, leaving him custody of his 5 year old daughter, Jenny.
After taking Dan up on his offer to stay with him and Jenny, Maggie wonders if she’s made a mistake. Is he just doing this because she’s carrying Chad’s baby? Maggie feels so guilty about the feelings she’s starting to have for Dan. Unbeknownst to Maggie, Dan has the same feelings of guilt. He shouldn’t feel this way about his brother’s wife. He can’t compete with a ghost anyway. Is he making a mistake by asking Maggie to stay with them?
