When Dee Decker hit 50, she drastically changed her life. She left her husband, Lyle, when she discovers that he is having an affair, she gets gastric bypass surgery and she finds faith. Her husband had always resented her job as a fundraising executive so now that she is on her own, she can dedicate more time and energy to it.

Her full-grown children are horrified to learn that she has left their father, and even more shocked when she takes on a job that takes her to Las Vegas. It is a faith-based fundraising project that seems perfect for Dee to be involved in.

When Dee meets Carter and becomes involved with him, things get sticky. Lyle wants to reconcile and Carter has no idea that she is really still married, he thought she was divorced. To add to everything else, Dee seems to have a slight addiction to plastic surgery after the gastric bypass. She scheduled a tummy tuck and a breast job. Her friends are becoming more concerned by the minute, especially when she starts forgetting to mail things and the office gets flooded with calls of people saying Dee has been preaching her newfound faith. Can Dee put her life back together to find true happiness?

Allison Bottke pens an emotional story of a woman just trying to find herself after she discovers that her husband cheated on her. She also needs to dig deep into herself to find forgiveness. The characters are written with superb detail on feelings and finding a way to forgive one another. A STITCH IN TIME is a touching story that will grab your heart from the beginning.
