A Terrible Love

Jess Mackey has always been careful at school.  Cautious and quiet, she can ill afford to make waves in her life.  Her only escape is ballet.  Enter Devin “Cas” Castile, the bad boy.  He overwhelms her senses and her world making her drop her guard and take chances in her life.  But she forgets that there is a monster stalking her and he hasn’t forgotten about Jess and he is waiting to strike and finish what he started.  Can she survive the monster and will Cas still be with her once he learns her secrets?  Will she stay when she finds out what he is hiding from her?

A TERRIBLE LOVE is a story of a survivor learning to live again.  Jess escaped a horrible tragedy and is trying to pick up the pieces in a new place.  She has trust issues and it’s difficult to make friends.  She is overwhelmed by Cas but he makes her feel safe.  Cas is all alpha.  He exudes passion, sex and a dynamic control that is difficult to miss.  There are many secondary characters that are all important.  They are different shades of gray and help move the story forward.  The twists and turns were quite good and I think an excellent starting point before reading A BRUTAL TENDERNESS.  Overall, I really enjoyed both points of views and maybe Ms. Eros might revisit the secondary characters just to see how they tick.
