Acting On Impulse

Hardworking business woman, owner of Sweet Impulse Bakery and single mother Samantha Layton thinks she’s in control of her life.  Her friend and roommate Blaina bamboozles her into attending a party for the Hollywood Set.  After trying to find somewhere quiet away from the party, she opens a door to one of the many rooms. To her surprise, she is confronted with an orgy. She quickly closes the door. Samantha escapes outside for some much needed fresh air.

Successful but jaded actor Connor Clarey attended the party having been convinced by his agent that it would be good for his career.  He loved acting but hated the publicity that labelled him a stud.  All he wants is a woman who would change his world.  Frustrated after escaping a clinging female, Connor grabs his jacket and heads outside. Before him is the most beautiful woman, with full curves not like the thin actresses that he knows, his desire is instant.  Samantha is rendered speechless when she gazed up at Connor the most handsome man she had ever seen.

ACTING ON IMPULSE is a delicious tale of heated passions between two basically lonely people. The heat generated from Samantha and Connor is enough to singe, highly erotic and sensually sexy.  The dialogue is witty and the characters of the book are wonderfully entertaining and charming.

ACTING ON IMPULSE is an excellent first book for writing team Jennifer Martin and Lisa Stoddard pen name Ashleigh Raine. I look forward to reading many more books by this Dynamic Duo. Indeed, LOVER’S TALISMAN is soon to be released and I for one can not wait.
