Samantha Reynolds was getting married. But why was it that instead of looking forward to the joys of marriage, she's at her bachelorette party considering having one night of hot sex before going down the aisle the way a woman would go on a binge the night before she plans to go on a diet? Maybe because she had never had the same kind of chemistry with a man like she did with--- Stop. She wasn't going to go there. If he really cared about her, he would have come back. It had been three years. More than enough time to move on.

Yes, it had been three years and after all that time, Eric still loved Samantha. Why the hell he didn't return to get her back after all this time, he didn't know. Maybe it was because he kept thinking he should make things more perfect for her before he returned. Now she was engaged to be married and he didn't know what to do... only that he had to get her back.

Lisa Renee Jones definitely had a consistent plot and pacing for this quickie. Ms. Jones had created a sense of history between the characters-showing a past for Eric and Samantha that created a really great sensual and emotional tension between them.

Though only a quickie, Ms. Jones was able to create a story that had all the elements that most full-length books have-an engaging plot, an interesting heroine, a hot, handsome hero and a steady hand. All the elements of good writing indeed!
