This past year while Marine Lt. Eric Jackson was fighting the war in Iraq, all he could think about was returning home to Gabrielle, his wife and starting the family that they have always wanted. The constant deadly encounters of the war finally took its toll on Eric and he returned home as a changed man with a lot of anger and disgust. Because he wanted to protect his wife from the dirty horrors of what he had to do during the war, Eric refused to open up to Gabi and spent most of his time hanging out in bars. And, to add more fuel to the already outraged burning fire, the couple learned that Eric was sterile.

Gabrielle Jackson was over the moon when her husband finally came home from the war safe and sound.   Right away, Gabi could tell that Eric was deeply troubled from his tour of duty in Iraq and because she loved and understood him, she was willing to give him all the space he needed to recover. As time passed, instead of things becoming better between them. everything began to fall apart. When Gabi discovered some damaging evidence that lead her to believe that her husband was cheating on her, Gabi decided to go tit for tat by making Eric believe that she was having an affair also.   However, Gabi soon learned that payback came with a price because she was pregnant and her husband thought that the baby was not his.

With an intense and very believable dialogue ANOTHER MAN’S BABY packed quite a knockout punch. This book was swarming with one poignant turmoil right after another.   From the very first page until the breathtaking dramatic conclusion, my emotions were on a nonstop high, and I found myself reaching for tissues on numerous occasions.   So, make sure you keep a box handy because you are going to need them to dry up your tears. It was easy to see that both Gabi and Eric deeply loved and cared for each other; however, they allowed outside influences to color their trust in one another which lead to major destruction – namely suspected infidelity and parental identity. There were times where I thought nothing short of a miracle could correct this couples mayhem and that phenomenon was the creation and birth of an innocent baby. This is one spectacular tale not to be missed!
