Any Other Way

Carlos Juan D'Alejandro is finished with his life of crime.  Now 'retired' on a private island, this former mob boss turned federal witness seems finally at peace with his decision to move away.  What he didn't expect was the company:  Federal Agent Jade Lazlow-Whinton.

Jade had been watching Carlos from a distance through binoculars.  She was finally ready to see him again after her last unfortunate mission.  They have been known each other for years; first as enemies, then friends, and finally as lovers.  They each have their own lives and loves, but this affair is separate.  Will they be strong enough to survive when tragedy strikes or will it tear them apart?

ANY OTHER WAY is about two people who were on opposite sides of the law.  Despite this glaring difference, Jade and Carlos have found themselves in an uneasy 'friends with benefits' relationship.  They are not perfect people.  They have been having this very steamy sexual relationship for quite some time.

Jade is emotionally scarred from a disastrous mission.  She is barely recovered when she reaches out to Carlos.  Carlos is more of a moody hero who is trying to accept his new surroundings and life.  He is also hurt from a betrayal by a woman and is somewhat cynical about trusting another woman again.

In ANY OTHER WAY, Denyse M. Bridger writes just a chapter in Jade and Carlos's lives.  This book packs a lot of emotional and sensual impact in just a few pages.  I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a wide range of emotions and energies in a very quick read.
