As If You Never Left Me
By Dina Smith

It had been fourteen months since Joely Birch had left her husband Rey, but it had been long before that when there problems began. Joely had lost her job and Rey had thrown himself into his work trying to prove what a great lawyer he was. Joely felt like Rey had abandoned her for his job, so she gave him divorce papers and left to start a new life.

Now fourteen months later Rey shows up in Joely's shop asking for a second chance. After Joely left Rey realized what a mistake he made letting her go and he is willing to do whatever he has to do, to get her back. Rey also knows he is not the only one that made mistakes in their marriage and it is time for Joely to admit her mistakes as well.

Joely can't help but wonder why after fourteen months did Rey decide to come after her now. When Joely overhears her customers talking about her artwork being copies, the pieces start to fit together for Joely, and when Rey's secretary seems to know Rey a little too personally Joely demands answers. Did Rey come back for her or is he once again putting his job ahead of her feelings?

Joely and Rey are such strong characters that share a passion for each other that will leave you breathless. AS IF YOU NEVER LEFT ME is the first book that I have read by Elizabeth Jewell. I was very impressed by her writing talent and will definitely be looking for more of her books in the future.
