Amelia didn’t think things through when she opted to continue to correspond with her sister Grace’s soldier pen-pal. She knew she should have clued him in to the fact that Grace had bailed on him, but Amelia is too kind-hearted and has admittedly fallen in love with the soldier herself.  That’s why she’s standing in an airport with butterflies in her stomach waiting for the arrival of Lieutenant Keon Munro fully expecting him to leave as soon as he learns that she’s not sophisticated and worldly like Grace.

Lieutenant Keon Munro isn’t a man to be trifled with – and he doesn’t normally appreciate being deceived … but in this case he’ll make an exception.  Keon is well aware that Amelia isn’t Grace – and he’s known about her deception almost from the beginning.  Fortunately this bit of trickery gives him an opportunity to test their compatibility because he’s a dominant man in the bedroom and really hopes Amelia likes his special brand of lovin’ – and discipline.

SPECIAL FORCE may be a short read but don’t let that deter you from picking up a copy of this little gem.  This story is fast paced, sexy, emotionally driven – and the hero is hot… in and out of uniform.  From the very beginning of this story the reader is subjected to Amelia’s anxiety over not being truthful with Keon, but what I really loved is how Brynn Paulin transitions the storyline from anxious and uncertain to pulse pounding hot just by using Amelia’s emotions and Keon’s dominant demeanor as a sort of foreplay.  SPECIAL FORCE is testament to Ms. Paulin’s ability to create memorable characters in storylines you want to revisit – I know I personally reread this story twice so far and will certainly reread it again in the future.
