Rayna Halliday isn’t on a pleasure jaunt so the last thing she needs is car trouble – unfortunately that’s just what she has – about four thousand dollars worth. Stranded in a little wannabe town called Daly, she’s without funds, cell phone’s been cut off and seemingly without options until the drop dead gorgeous O’Keefe’s make her an offer she can’t refuse. She can stay with them for the next week in the large Victorian house they own and in exchange for room and board she’ll belong to them – all four of them.
The O’Keefes own and run the one garage and gas station in Daly. With the men greatly outnumbering the women in the area it only makes sense that ménages are the norm. While Patrick, David and Sean are interested in having Rayna stay with them for the next week on primarily a sexual level, Jamie feels something far more intense for her. However due to his physical injuries and fear of rejection he’s determined not to be a part of their little ménage agreement – that doesn’t stop him from doing his best to please her with little gestures and thoughtful actions.
Rayna feels no regret about leaving her abusive ex and heading off to Oregon to begin a new life but she never would have believed that she’d find paradise living with four men in Daly, Wyoming. Of course, her happiness and time with the O’Keefes’ is only a temporary thing. Once her car is repaired and the situation with her funds and phone are taken care of she’ll leave but she can’t help but wonder ‘what if…?’ She certainly didn’t expect to fall in love with the most elusive of the O’Keefes, Jamie. Jamie’s refusal to participate in the shenanigans and antics along with his brothers and cousins captures Rayna’s attention and she quickly finds herself drawn to him despite his attempts to distance himself. Rayna has all sorts of ideas regarding how to draw women to Daly but when her attempts to right the disaster that her ex has made of her finances leads him to her it seems like she might have to leave the town and men she’s come to love and care for behind.
Welcome to Daly, Wyoming – population one-fifty-nine. Women – seven. Ah, the possibilities. Brynn Paulin has already had a great deal of success with her story BELONGING TO THEM and after reading this story myself I can see why it’s garnering so much attention. The combination of a smoking hot ménage, raw humor, pure lust, one handicapped hero, a vindictive ex and a whole town full of men looking for love is guaranteed to keep you glued to the plot waiting to find out what happens next. While much of the ménage situation is fun and games, it’s the relationship Rayna shares with Jamie that brought a sigh of longing to my lips.
The second addition to this series, PLAYS WELL WITH OTHERS, is now available and I’m fervently hoping that there will be more DALY stories in the near future. Reading about it would be the next best thing to actually getting to go there myself.
