Bare It All

Before I begin my review, I’d like to say that I feel that it is necessary to read book number one, RUN THE RISK, before trying to take on BARE IT ALL.  I didn’t have the chance to read the first book and I felt lost at the beginning of the story.  I wasn’t able to fully grasp what was going on in the book until I was well past chapter three.  With that being said, I want to state that I still found a lot to love about BARE IT ALL.

Alice Appleton is running scared from her past.  She was the victim of a ruthless human trafficker.  She is trying to live a low key life in her small apartment complex, when a crime takes place at her neighbor’s house.  Alice bravely gets involved and helps take down a perpetrator.  When her neighbor, Detective Reece Bareden, needs a place to stay because his own apartment is the scene of a crime, Alice offers to let him stay on her living room couch.

Although Reece and Alice barely know one another, they are both attracted to each other from the get go.  It doesn’t take long before the two start an explosive sexual relationship, with deep feelings developing slowly for each other as the story progresses.  It seems that Alice is keeping secrets from Reece and he does his best to pry those secrets out of her.  The one thing that Reece knows for sure is that his only desire is to keep Alice safe from danger.

When Alice gets involved with a crime as it is taking place, she puts herself in harm's way.  Now she has some very unsavory individuals looking for her.  Will Reece be able to keep Alice out of the hands of the criminals who are desperate to find her?

Reece is not only gorgeous, he is very loving and supportive of Alice.  He’s the kind of character that a girl can definitely fall in love with.  There are plenty of women who would love to get their hands on Reece, but he only has eyes for Alice.

Alice is deeply scarred from her past encounter with a kidnapper, but she is still one of the bravest characters that I have come across.  She single-handedly takes on a creepy kidnapper and wins the fight.  I found myself wanting to high five her and shout out “you go girl,” as Alice fights to save a girl from the clutches of a maniac.

BARE IT ALL is an exciting, high octane, roller coaster ride.  It is full of all kinds of lusty interaction between the two main protagonists. The subplot nicely sets up the next book in the series, and gives readers a chance to get to know the secondary characters really well.  Lori Foster delivers a high wattage tale that you will not want to miss!
