Beau and the Lady Beast

Beau Brannigan has come into possession of something that he knows Isadora wants - fifteen percent stock in the company she’d worked so hard to build. He’s willing to give her the shares. All he’s asking in return is for her to become his voluntary hostage for the next three days - seventy-hours. His desire for Isadora has only grown over the past year and now he intends to have her.

Isadora MacLean has worked long hard hours to build her company. Her single-minded intent combined with her disagreeable disposition has earned her the nickname ‘Lady Beast.’ Isadora shelved all thoughts of having a personal life after her marriage and a costly divorce. She’s lived for her company but now if she wants the shares that Beau has in the company she’s going to have to risk having some semblance of a personal life - for three days.

Isadora is flabbergasted by Beau’s proposal. There’s no way he can really expect her to spend three days catering to his every whim, is there? What she doesn’t realize is that Beau has carefully plotted out his takeover, only he isn’t interested in her company, he wants to take over the woman running it. Beau knows that Isadora would have never taken an attempt at courtship seriously. An indecent proposal with stock in her company hanging in the balance however would definitely get her attention. Once he has her safely encased in his home he’ll be able to show her just how right they are together - or at least he sure hopes so. Will Beau be able to tame the Lady Beast? Is she even really as ‘beastly’ as she’s allowed people to believe her to be?

Morgan Ashbury brings a fascinating spin to a much beloved fairy tale with her story BEAU AND THE LADY BEAST. I was quickly drawn into the storyline and eagerly read each tension filled scene waiting for the moment when Beau wins over Isadora’s affections. There’s no doubt that he will win - he’s so dominating and determined yet loving that I even fell in love with him. The hints we get of Isadora’s vulnerability throughout the storyline make her a genuinely lovable character. She’s simply protected herself from being hurt emotionally by burying herself in her company and avoiding romance. While I knew this was a BDSM fairy tale when I picked it up, I wasn’t prepared for how lovingly Beau uses his ‘Mastery Skills’ to get Isadora to trust him and found his methods extremely touching.

Watch for Ms. Ashbury’s next books A LILY IN BLOOM as well as a series called THE MAGIC AND LOVE TRILOGY to be released from Siren Publishing in the near future.
