But then Owen offers her a true dream job. Redecorating the house he is refurbishing. It will get her name out there and for a first job, it is close to home. Soon, Owen and Jordan are engaging in more than just work. But he is a bit of a playboy and a divorced woman with three children is definitely a different situation for him. As Owen and Jordan start to build a friendship and more together, the past may finally be in the past, once and for all. Is Owen ready to commit? Is Jordan ready for another serious relationship? The second book in the ROSEWOOD TRILOGY is a heartwrencher.
BELIEVE IN ME is a romantic and heartfelt story, centered on family and love. Jordan is not always strong but she is incredibly resilient and will do what it takes to make sure her three children are healthy and happy, even if that means coming into contact with her ex. I really enjoyed seeing her work with Owen on the Hawk Hill house as it gave the story a nice backdrop to showcase Jordan’s talents and the growing relationship between the two characters. Her kids are adorable and for me, worked very well in the story, because they built upon Owen’s initial discomfort and awkwardness with kids, while also showing how he comes to care for them. There is a great family story in this book, as Jordan reconnects with her two sisters also. All in all, it was just a satisfying story. Laura Moore is a strong writer and made me believe in these characters. I am very excited to read the third book in this trilogy.
