Elliot Bailey became a wedding coordinator because he likes to help make people happy even if it’s only for one special day. He has worked hard to build his business and more importantly he truly cares about his clients and it shows in everything he does. Despite his best efforts, his latest wedding consists of one crisis after another culminating in a disaster so big that Elliot fears that neither his reputation nor his business will ever recover.
On the surface, Dylan and Veronica’s upcoming wedding seems like it is meant to be. They seem perfect for one another. Everything is not what it seems. Veronica and Dylan have been friends for years and they have no desire to get married. Therefore, their wedding must be a disaster so that they can get out with their secrets and inheritances intact no matter the consequences.
Eliot jumps at the chance to restore his reputation. A big high profile wedding is exactly what he needs to get his business back on track. To his dismay, however, he feels an immediate and intense, albeit completely inappropriate attraction to Dylan. An attraction that Dylan seems to share. Will this wedding be the answer to Eliot’s problems or the final nail in the coffin of his career?
I have to admit that, at first, I didn’t like Dylan very much. His motivation seemed selfish to me, however, as he and Elliot spend more time together I began to like him more and more. I found myself no only cheering them on but I was on the edge of my seat wondering if and how the heroes would find a way to be together. BEST LAID PLANS by Cat Kane offers an interesting and fun twist on a classic romantic comedy scenario and I am glad I read it.
