Marvel Allen is now the proud owner of the newly christened Bird of Paradise Hawaiian Tours.  She has inherited the rundown company from her father and put every cent she had into fixing it up.

Jack Christie had been working for a large firm in Denver as an executive accountant but lost his job when the company had some major financial problems.  Jack's father and Marvel's father were partners in the same tour business.  He believes his father was not paid a fair amount of money for his partnership since he was drunk at the time. Jack decides that he is going to do whatever he can to get his rightful share of the business.

Marvel has known and detested Jack since their childhood and is tired of running away from the strange way he makes her feel.  She is a stronger person now and he was not going to bully her out of part ownership of her company. Marvel finds that Jack is not the same person she knew years ago.  She has to find out the real reason he came back to the island; even though they both have trouble fighting the powerful attraction between them.

BIRD OF PARADISE is a very entertaining story to read.  The chemistry between Marvel and Jack was electric right from the first page. Marvels reaction to the real reason Jack came back to Hawaii will astound you.  Evelyn Starr wrote such an erotic and tantalizing story that I had to give her a 5 Blue Ribbon Rating
