Navy SEAL Bishop Strong thought he was alone in the house when he helped himself to a 2 a.m. snack. How was he to know there is a woman house sitting for his sister and her new husband? He certainly hadn’t anticipated her attack or the way his body reacted to her presence. As a member of the exclusive military force, he’s used to a certain kind of woman – one with no expectations, because he knows ‘nice’ women want happily-ever-after and he just doesn’t have that in him to give.
Despite knowing that Angel is not his normal type Bishop’s extremely attracted to her – and obviously she feels the same way about him. What can possibly go wrong with indulging in their mutual desire, right? Unfortunately, Bishop’s at a point in his life where he’s torn between his duty to his country and finding something more permanent in his life – and his indecision is bound to cause conflict. What he doesn’t anticipate is that his innocent little kindergarten teacher Angel has a naughty side as well as a generous heart – but she’s not going to tolerate his love ‘em and leave ‘em attitude. She’s prepared for the reality of loving a military man, but it’s up to him to decide if he’s ready to open his heart and love her back – or return to the empty emotionless shell that functions at top performance but has nothing to return home to.
BISHOP’S ANGEL is a fast paced, erotic read full of unexpected twists and turns and humor. Bishop and Angel’s romantic entanglement is based on sex first and foremost but there’s an underlying emotional pull between them that comes to the forefront later in the story. I’m used to reading storylines with SEALs being a more hero worshipful kind of character so it’s nice to see them as real men with fears and self-doubt. Tory Richards’ compassionate storytelling pulls you into the storyline while the scorching sex scenes and raw humor insure that you’ll be smiling as you squirm in your seat.
