The owner of Black Orchid,
Antony, is a sexy, alluring host who tempts and teases Maggie to the brink with the sensual delights that the club can offer, while pushing her to the edge of her desires. He wants Maggie to dedicate herself to the Black Orchid as a servant of sorts, but his requests might end up being more than she can handle. A lot more, but Maggie might just prove she’s up to the challenge and then some.
BLACK ORCHID is a tantalizing tale from beginning to finish. Maggie is a multi-faceted character who shows her innocence and experience while getting involved in the women-only club. She longs to fit and be an important part, but she learns that she isn’t calling the shots, nor does she have the upper hand. I found her character an interesting combination of traits and assets. I was slightly disappointed that there was no definite love match for her in the novel, or even a good sexual partner, because they all seemed to fit the bill. However, Black Lace is an excellent publisher for showing strong, independent women who don’t need the confines of a relationship. That is the type of novel BLACK ORCHID is; where Maggie definitely emerges the victor of the deal that she strikes with the BLACK ORCHID club. The book was nearly too hot to read, but impossible to put down. Join the club and see what all the buzz is about!
