Victoria Carrington is dumbfounded at being stranded at the rest area. Someone stole her car! Even more appalling, sitting in its place is a beast of a motorcycle straddled by one of the shadiest looking characters she's ever had the misfortune to lay eyes on. Scary-looking or not, that man obviously knows something about her car, and Victoria is too upset to reign in her explosive and demanding words.

Levi Bennette is mildly amused and fairly turned on by the prissy shrew throwing accusations his way. Noting the way the woman is dressed, Levi concludes she is the spoiled, rich type. Nevertheless, he can't abandon her. Ignoring the warning bells clanging in his head, Levi offers to deliver Victoria to a phone.

Having no other options, Victoria reluctantly agrees to a ride from the biker. Little does she know that her controlled world is about to take a brief detour; a detour that will lead her to question the very life choices that have guided her thus far.

BREAKING IN LEVI is a fun romp blended with serious overtones. Shaped from two opposite ends of life's spectrum, Levi and Victoria begin their relationship with erroneous, though amusing, preconceptions of each other. Levi has a quick wit combined with a droll dialogue, both of which kept me smiling. At the same time, I found myself sympathizing with him over the hand dealt to him by fate. His strength and determination to directly tackle injustices had me cheering him on to the very end. After reading such a charming story, I will be watching for more offerings by Ms. Cory.
