Sara Jack has left Iowa for two weeks. She is in Chicago for her friend's wedding to a local fireman. Sara is tired of her quiet, boring life as a reporter back home. She really wants to write for a Chicago-based magazine called Entice. What she needs most is to find a story hot enough to get the magazines attention. When her friend hands her a card with three words on it "The Hot Line" she never dreams it would change her whole life.

Sara has a thing for one of Nick's friends, Mitch Adams, who you can probably guess is also a fireman. She is ready for a serious relationship, but what could a couple weeks of fun possibly hurt? That is how Sara finds herself dialing the number on The Hot Line card requesting Mitch to come to her aid. It might start as fun and games, but it does not take long for Sara to realize that she would like to take things to the next level with Mitch. Who knows where this scorching hot relationship might end up.

Author Cathryn Fox turns up the heat big time in her novella FEVER, which is also in the anthology titled THE HOT LINE. Her characters, male and female, simply ooze sex appeal. I could stare at her book covers all day. Yes, they are that sexy. Mitch is absolutely smoking, but Sara is sensual in her own right. These two made a powerfully hot combination, both in and out of the bedroom. I could not get enough.
