Cole Ryan has spent ten years making a life of fame and fortune in pro-ball. When an injury sidelines him, he returns to his hometown of Pigeon Hollow and the girl who’d dumped him without any real explanation.

Lizzie Barton has been in love with Cole most of her life. She had valid reasons for breaking up with Cole, though she’d done her best to keep him from finding out the truth. Now that he’s back in town there’s no way she can continue to keep her secret. Will he be able to get past her deception and still want her in his life?

This is such a great story of a love that survives an extended absence but even then there are other issues that have to be dealt with. Both Cole and Lizzie had dreams for their lives. Lizzie sacrifices hers so that Cole could have his dream of playing ball. You’ll want to catch every moment of this fun-filled emotional tale.

Cat Johnson doesn’t shy away from complicated situations with this addition to the RED, HOT & BLUE series.  Life in a small town isn’t easy and when opportunities arise you have to seize them.  If Lizzie hadn’t broken Cole’s heart he might have eventually come to resent her and have giving up dreams of a pro-ball career.  At the same time she threw away her own dreams so that he could have his.  COLE is an emotional story told with compassion and wisdom and enough grace to make Lizzie and Cole’s story a sheer delight to read.
