Leave Me Breathless

Macy Rodgers is all country!  She’s busy managing her parents’ outdoor store and giving riding lessons so there’s no time for romance…not that there are any prospects in her life right now anyway.  Valentine’s Day would be super easy for her to ignore altogether but her friends Samantha and Candace have other plans for her.  They’ve set her up with the one man who’s so wrong for her yet so very right, the very man she’d had wild, unforgettable sex with several months ago - Seth.

Seth “Ghost” Warren’s life is a chaotic mess.  Between his job as a tattoo artist, his grandmother’s tenuous health, a stalkerish ex, and his gig with a local band the last thing he needs is to get involved with a straight laced girl like Macy.  It’s too late to second guess himself though, he still enjoys spending time with Macy and despite his extended absence he’s never forgotten the erotic encounter they shared in the back of his ’69 GTO convertible.

Macy’s never understood why people feel the need to express themselves through tattoos and piercings but she does support her friends in their endeavors and that’s how she originally met Seth.  An unlikely friendship formed and he jokingly dubbed her ‘Killjoy’ because of her serious demeanor even though he sees her more playful, funny side.  After several months apart with no communication between them picking up where they left off isn’t going to be easy.  There are issues beyond their control including Macy’s ex-boyfriend who’s now divorced and wants her back. And of course Macy’s concerned about how her parents will react to Seth, after all Candace’s upper class family utterly rejected Brian; and Macy’s parents could very well behave in the same manner.

LEAVE ME BREATHLESS is the follow up story to ROCK ME and I have to admit I love Macy’s story as much as I did Candace’s but for very different reasons.  While Candace went looking for a walk on the wild side and certainly found that with Brian, Macy did not but she can’t help but be drawn to Seth despite their differences.  It’s a definite rock ‘n’ roll meets country type situation and the results are definitely exciting.  Seth and Macy have issues they’re dealing with – past injuries, determined exes, ailing grandparents, and complicated family situations – but they find a way to get past all that and just be themselves when they’re together.  Cherrie Lynne blends humor, emotional angst, scorching sex, and friendship into a storyline that’s positively memorable.

If you want to know more about how Macy and Seth then be sure to pick up a copy of BREATHE ME IN, it’s a prequel that takes place during the events of ROCK ME so definitely not a stand-alone, but might help the reader get to know them a bit better.
