Cherry Harris is smart, attractive and over the age of consent, so why can’t she find a decent man?  Obviously she’s dating the wrong sort of men.  It’s time to learn from her mistakes which means dating the ultra-sexy magnetic type bad boys are a thing of the past.  One more month to go and she’ll have her master’s degree in accounting and can hang up her pink waitress apron and wave goodbye to all the temptations Sweet Delights offers – delectable food and bad boy diners.

Joe Deluca appears to be the perfect ‘nice guy’ to test her newfound dating standards on.  After all, what could be safer than a firefighter who rescues a kitten from a tree for her elderly neighbor?  It isn’t until he shows up for a date that Cherry realizes that when he’s not playing a fine upstanding member of the firefighting force he rides a Harley, wears a leather jacket and sports a tattoo.

Cherry’s perception of good guy vs. bad boy is now blown.  She’d been so attracted to Joe before she knew he rode a Harley that she’s having difficulty with the concept of men being able to be both nice and what is perceived as bad.  Sure she’s just promised herself to be more selective in whom she dates, but surely a man who rescues cats and checks smoke detectors for everyone in the building can’t be all bad.  She’ll soon discover the best kind of man is one who has the appearance of a bad boy, treats you like you’re the best thing that ever happened to him, and possesses bedroom skills that leave you completely sated.  Of course, Cherry believes Joe is too good to be true and she is just waiting for things to start falling apart, what will it take for her to accept that she might have just found the man who is perfect for her?

Bad boys offer a taste of the forbidden which so appealing to women whose lives are more mundane.  Honestly though, I think most women find ‘bad boys’ undeniably sexy – just look at some of the actors we’re so taken with – Jonathan Rhys Meyers (the TUDORS), Christian Bale (THE DARK KNIGHT, and my personal favorite Norman Reedus (plays Daryl Dixon on AMC’s The WALKING DEAD).  Charlene Teglia’s DANGEROUS LOVER embraces our love for bad boys and allows readers to imagine them in a more loving light, because believe me, Joe definitely has that bad boy thing going for him, but it’s presented in a unique way.  The sparks between Joe and Cherry are evident from their initial meeting and continue right through the end with a few sex scenes that certainly qualify him as an official bad boy – and will leave readers longing for a bad boy of their very own.

DANGEROUS LOVER is the final story in Charlene Teglia’s TAKE ME, LOVER series.  Each story can easily be read as a stand-alone so just pick one and start there – you can always go back and read the others later.
