Camille ‘Cam’ Stockton is the last holdout of the original seven cougars to join the Tempt the Cougar blog. She’s the only one who hasn’t embraced the challenge and gotten out there to find a younger man. She has however joined a gym so that’s a step in the right direction, right? Her ex-husband’s affair with a younger woman has really done a number on her self-confidence and Cam’s hoping to regain a bit of her self-esteem, while ridding herself of some of her body’s jiggle. What she doesn’t expect is for her trainer to be so absolutely drool-worthy.
Lee Holiday thinks it’s his lucky day when he meets Cam, his new client. Of course, acting on his attraction to her would be totally unprofessional; however, Cam changes everything with a daring lip lock she plants on him upon seeing the approach of another woman. He has no way of knowing the reason behind the women’s hostility toward each other but if it gets him up close and personal with Cam then he’s certainly not going to complain – especially since Cam told Kandy that they are lovers.
Rather than deny Cam’s claim Lee chooses to go along with it, even going so far as agreeing to accompany Cam to a fundraiser the following weekend. Before the weekend comes however, they engage in a flirtation that only speaks of things to come – if Cam’s brave enough to open her heart and accept everything Lee has to offer. The trouble is that she’s not sure she believes in happily-ever-after anymore since her ex-husband’s betrayal.
Ciana Stone rounds out the initial offerings of the COUGAR CHALLENGE with CAM’S HOLIDAY. This story is fast paced, crazy hot and a whole lot of fun. I love the verbal exchanges between Cam and Lee and the way they seem to join forces against her ex-husband and his lover, Kandy. Cam and Lee make a wonderful couple but he’s definitely far more dominant than she’s used to so it’s understandable that she’s a bit disconcerted by his attention and the games they play. I really loved how Cam would post her concerns to her friends on the Tempt the Cougar blog and her friends never failed to support her and offer her advice. However, I think it’s Lee who really won my heart with this single statement:
“But what’s happily-ever-after other than a series of happy-for-right-nows? Life shouldn’t be lived for tomorrow, or next week or ten years from now. It’s the now that matters. All the experiences and closeness of the right-nows are what build the happily-ever-after.”
Now, a man with that sort of insight is well worth taking a chance at building a future with.
The COUGAR CHALLENGE series now consists of quite a few releases. You can check them all out at the below website page.
