Since moving to Cattle Valley, Reverend Casey Sharp has been very lonely—try as he might, he can’t seem to connect to his parishioners. Casey knows that he is paying for the mistakes of his predecessor and that winning over the town won’t be easy. However he knows that if he can just convince people to give him a chance, he can help them to heal.

Contractor Halden Kuckleman is a very private person. He is surprised when the new reverend asks him to finish the construction on the church expansion in time for Christmas. His first instinct is to refuse. Hal wants nothing to do with religion or church. Although, once he meets Casey, he agrees to help despite his better judgment.

Casey and Hal are instantly attracted to one another, but each man has his own reasons for being cautious. In order to get the expansion done in time for the Christmas celebration Hal and Casey must work very closely together. The more time they spend together the more they like one another. When tragedy strikes Casey worries that everything he hoped for is lost, but Hal knows that with a lot of hard work and a little Christmas magic anything is possible.

CATTLE VALLEY: MISTLETOE is the second book in the Cattle Valley series written by Carol Lynne. I was really happy to return to the world of Cattle Valley. I love reading about this town, as it’s like a character all on its own. MISTLETOE is a heart warming Christmas romance. Casey and Hal are two endearing and very sexy men! The heat between them is sizzling from the moment they first meet. I enjoyed the development of their relationship. The plot of this story is captivating and very sweet. I especially liked the way that Hal’s character grows throughout the story because of Casey’s love and acceptance. I was also very happy to see the return of many characters from ALL WORK AND NO PLAY. Ms. Lynne really makes all the characters come alive.
