Although Shep has been attracted to his best friend’s son – Jeff - since he was sixteen, he has never acted on this attraction. Shep has long practice at minimizing his contact with Jeff in order to protect his secret. Now, years later, he is a pro at the game of avoidance. However all that changes when Jeff comes back from a weekend with his father, with not only an injury but also a plea that Shep feels he has no choice but to help him with.

Jeff is now twenty-two and looking for not only parental approval but also to land the man he has been in love with since he was sixteen. When he ends up on the Backbreaker Ranch working for him, he finds himself in a position to get both his desires in one fell swoop.

OUT OF THE SHADOWS brings together two very hot cowboys.  Jeff is young, and while very mature in his way around a bull, he still has that childlike guile that wants to please his parent and will do anything to get his affection; sometimes to his own detriment.

Shep knows what he wants and is prepared to wait. However when emotions run high and he is almost caught with his pants down, he has no choice but to hold onto his man and wish for the best.

Ms. Lynne has once again worked her magic: given you just enough to have you coming back for more. Expect lots of emotionally charged scenes with you either clenching your fist in anger or hoping your quivering heart can bear the strain.
