***image2***Frederique Farmer is living a half-life in France after the death of her husband and parents.  She is staying in an ancient Chateau and occasionally renting out rooms to elite individuals that are willing to pay a fortune for a quiet and private getaway.  Since her atheist husband's death Frederique has been trying to make herself believe that she also doesn't believe in God because she does not want to deal with the knowledge of the eternity her beloved husband will be facing if she acknowledges that He is real.

Right after Frederique moved into her new home she discovered an old handwritten journal by a young bride named Alix who had lived during the middle f ifteenth

century.  Because of the rarity of the discovery of a still legible diary from that time period and the even more unusualness of it being written by a woman, the journal captivated the world.  Frederique has had many request for stays at the Chateau from people wanting to experience the area where Alix lived; when an American writer asks to rent a room for the duration of the time it takes him to write a book about Alix, Frederique does not think that her decision to let him move in would cause any ripples in her life.  She should have remembered that her God does work in mysterious ways.

Robert Cranwell is handsome, charming and a famous author, but he has just recently found God and is trying to give up his old ways and turn his life in the direction that God wants him to go.  When Robert hears of the journal of the young medieval girl, he feels drawn to write a story based on her life.  To accomplish this goal he also feels drawn to reside in the Chateau where she spent her married life.  There he meets Frederique and he knows that God has brought him here to find his soul mate.  Robert has always been able to have any woman he wanted, but now that he has finally met the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with, she is running scared from him and life and he is not sure how to win her over.  Robert is putting his trust in God to show him the way to her heart.

CHATEAU OF ECHOES by Siri L. Mitchell is a double treat, we not only get the heartwarming, second chance at love story of two modern day people, but also we get a refreshing and spell-binding glimpse into the world of a young medieval bride.  Both storylines will draw you in and keep you mesmerized until the final page is read.  This book is a must read for everyone that enjoys a story that is uplifting, entertaining and an affirmation that God does exist and always has our best interest in mind.
