M.J. Wyn's love of sports has led her to become a sports writer and hopefully an on-air sports reporter someday. She works hard and is a fantastic writer, but still finds it hard to catch a break. What is even harder is finding a man to share her life with. She is concentrating on her career and taking it to the next level.
Alex Kwan is beautiful, intelligent and confident. One would think the powerful attorney has it all, but Alex doesn't have anyone to share her life with. Years of being treated with less respect than the male lawyers has made her cynical and it has kept her from taking a chance on love.
Lin Cho loves the fast-paced world of being a stockbroker. She finds that the excitement of risking everything to win it all is seductive. When an equally seductive coworker romances her, she lets him despite all the reservations she and her friends have about him.
Strong characters and an engaging plot made CHINA DOLLS an easy novel to enjoy. Michelle Yu and Blossom Kan gave a compelling view of what it is like to grow up Asian in America. Those who want to expand their perspective of other cultures will find CHINA DOLLS particularly delightful.
I am very happy that I got to review this book. Within the pages of CHINA DOLLS, I found a story that showed the importance of family and close friends. I would recommend this book to anyone.
