Dani Stevens moved to Italy with her father when she was a child.  She befriended a young boy named Roberto and they became the best of friends.  Most would call it puppy love.  Then Dani moved back to the States and had to leave him behind, but she never forgot the boy who was her best friend.  Twenty years has passed and Dani finds herself in Vegas on a business trip.  Will an old love be found?

Roberto works in Vegas as one of the headliners and has seduced women with his voice.  When he sees Dani, he instantly knows who she is even though she is older.  He sees this as a second chance to reacquaint himself with the young girl he fell in love with so long ago.  However, will Dani want to get involved in a serious relationship or is she more focused on her career?

I loved this story about two people finding each other again.  Dani is a great heroine and very focused on her career, you have to admire that.  Roberto is charming with an old world style that will have you wishing for your own trip to Italy.  The love scenes are more poignant and moving than just your typical romances.  There is a depth of emotion that the reader can feel.  I don’t remember reading anything else by Christiane France, but after completing this book will certainly be on the lookout for more of her entertaining stories.
