Deputy Sheriff Bobby Barton can’t do anything without a television camera following his every move eighteen hours a day. To make matters worse, he’s developing an interest in the assistant producer, Christy Dunne. In order to keep a tape of him punching Cole off the air, he had to agree to let her ride along with him during his shifts. He doesn’t want to get involved with her because she’s only supposed to be in town for two months - the duration of the show.
Christy Dunne has a serious infatuation with Bobby that goes far beyond anything that can be shown on the television. She’d do anything to spend more time with him, including risking her job by giving up the most valuable tape they have. It’s unethical for her to get involved with Bobby - until after the taping for the show is over. Will they be able to resist temptation?
Ride along with Bobby as he does his best to avoid the pitfall of falling in love while protecting the good citizens of Pigeon Hollow. You’ll sympathize with Bobby’s plight for privacy and admire Christy’s tenacity and sense of ethics.
Cat Johnson’s BOBBY made me smile because of Bobby’s small town attitude even while I reveled in Christy’s outgoing pursuit of the sheriff. Living in a small town myself I found Bobby’s situation humorous yet still agonized with him because you know Christy’s job means she won’t be staying. It seems like there’s no hope for a happily-ever-after, but Ms. Johnson never leaves fans unsatisfied and HEA’s are a prerequisite for her storylines.
