Pat Romono died as he leaned over her well in the backyard. The murder weapon was her garden scissors that were stuck in his back. When the police investigated the scene, Pat had a bill for what she owed him in his shirt pocket. Things weren't looking good for Jessie at all.

Jessie was under investigation for the murder of Pat. The police weren't looking for another killer, they were sure she killed him. After all, the way the police saw it, she owed him a huge amount of money. She was the only one who had enough of a motive for murder, as far as they were concerned.

Jessie was innocent. She just had to prove that. She had to try to get the police to think that the real killer was out there. That was not going to be easy because the police weren't looking for another killer. They wanted nothing more than to pin Pat's death on her.

Rhys Farrel was her only hope. He posted her bail, what else could he do? He was Jessie's groom-to-be. But, Rhys had a lot of ghosts in his closet. And so did Jessie.

Do they trust each other enough to tell all of their secrets? And if they do, does that change their feelings for one another? Do they really know the person they thought they did enough to marry when the time came?

And how did Pat fit into all of this? Did Pat have secrets? Did he hide something that was enough to get him murdered?

Do Jessie and Rhys work through their secrets so that they can focus on clearing Jessie's name? And do the police finally see that Jessie can't possibly be the killer?

Joyce and Jim Lavene tell a wonderful tale. Once you open the book and start reading CONSTANT CRAVING, you won't want to put it down until you finish it. And the story is so well told you' ll end up wanting more! I highly recommend this book to everyone.
