After 3 long months, Gabe Miller's ex-wife returns home. He knows there must be a really good reason behind it and cannot wait to find out why. Imagine Gabe's shock when she announces they are not divorced after all. Even more devastating, Marissa confesses she is pregnant with his child. After careful thought, Gabe comes up with a plan. Marissa will stay until the child is born and pretend to be his doting wife. Only this time, Gabe plans to make his marriage work.
Marissa did not come back with any intention of patching things up with Gabe. She just wanted to notify him that she is pregnant with his child and allow him to be part of the baby's life. Marissa is still in love with Gabe and she is determined to not let that interfere with her current situation. She cannot let things go back to the way they were before. It seems Gabe is equally determined to keep her there, but this time he must prove Marissa means more to him than his work.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading COURT ME, COWBOY. This is the first novel I have read by Barbara White Daille and I am in awe. COURT ME, COWBOY is about two people getting a second chance at love. Both characters, Marissa and Gabe are likeable and relatable. Their situation and the obstacles they must overcome tugged at my heart strings. Ms. Daille is a very talented writer and I look forward to getting my hands on her next novel.
