Brittney Massey ran for her life when she witnessed Lucas murder a man. She sang at a night club in
New Orleans keeping her life as a rancher's daughter a secret. Known as Kat Boutie in New Orleans she falls in love with mafia king Lucas Cortine only to witness him murder a man one night. She hides from him and his men under her real identity. She thinks she's safe until Lucas's hired man, Mark, saves her from the bad guys. He becomes infatuated with her and will stop at nothing to have her for his own even after Lucas threatens him.

Lucas sees Brit and instantly falls in love with her.  He takes her to his swamp island home and there he holds her prisoner. Lucas tries to get Brit to understand why he killed the man. He convinces her to marry him by threatening her father's life. Will she ever come to love and trust him? Is she safe from Mark who still wants her for his own?

Ms Adams CREOLE BLUES is a great story. The turmoil Brittney feels inside herself, the love she feels for a man that she believes is a murderer is enough to keep you turning the pages of CREOLE BLUES. Lucas's determination and love to find the woman who stole his heart makes me wish it were me that he was looking for. I look forwardto more of Ms. Adams' work.
