Tristan has a plan. When his girlfriend Viper broke up with him through her brother all Tristan could think about was her brother and the fact that he didn’t have a shirt on. He is finally ready to admit that he has always been attracted to men and he is ready to find out what sex with another guy is all about which is why he came up with the Plan to get laid by picking up a guy at his local bookstore. However, his plan hits an unexpected and unwelcome road block in the form of Officer Michael Truax.

Michael is surprised to see Tristan browsing in the bookstore but he is even more surprised when he discovers Tristan’s real reason for being there. Ever since he gave Tristan a ticket for skateboarding without a helmet he has felt very protective of him. He doesn’t like to see his ‘Sparky’ putting himself in danger in any way and is determined to keep him safe. He never suspected that Tristan might be gay but now that he knows he sees his chance to finally get close to him. Michael is determined to be the one who takes him home.

CROSSING BORDERS by Z. A. Maxfield has rapidly become a new favorite for me. I read this novel in one sitting and I know I’ll be reading it again. This story is very romantic and down-to-earth. I love Tristan and Michael because they are burning hot and very tender. The plot held my interest as well. I particularly enjoyed the development of the heroes’ relationship throughout the story. Tristan and Michael’s interactions with each others families are often very amusing. I highly recommend this novel.
