FBI Special Agent Ty Grady is having a very bad week. Four weeks of undercover work ruined by a single phone call. When he lost his target his operation came under close scrutiny. He is known for his unorthodox methods. Methods that are barely tolerated at the best of times; he is now on very thin ice. All Ty has is his job and he is very good at it. He has no idea what he will do if he loses it.
Special Agent Zane Garrett has been stuck down in cyber crimes for what seems like forever. He is known for his adherence to the rules and he has been very careful to tow the line. He has brought his career back from the brink of disaster and has worked hard to get his promotion. He has very specific goals for his future. He is determined that nothing will stop him from getting what he wants.
When they first meet Ty and Zane take an instant dislike to one another. They seem to be completely incompatible. So much so that each man is absolutely horrified at the idea of working with the other as his partner, however, neither has much of a choice. There is a serial killer committing bizarre murders on the loose and they are nowhere near solving the case. Can these two very different men learn to work together before time runs out?
Madeline Urban and Abigail Roux have written one of the best suspense thrillers that I have read in some time. This story is a touching erotic romance as well as an intriguing murder mystery. The murders are gruesome and chilling and provide the reader with a captivating plot that kept me guessing until the end.
Ty and Grady are equally captivating. I was intrigued by the idea that these two men who seem completely opposite are each others perfect match in almost every way. Once they begin to get to know on another they find they have a lot in common. Their interactions are entertaining and clever. They definitely kept me on my toes as I followed the ups and downs of their relationship. I hope their will be a sequel because I would like to see what happens when their relationship evolves further. I enjoyed CUT AND RUN thoroughly and I highly recommend it.
