Courtney Devons has never won anything so, when she wins a vacation at the famous Heart Inn Resort there has to be a catch. There isn't. She and her husband get seven days and nights at the Heart Inn. Husband? It seems the give-a-way is for the honeymoon suite and accommodations for a married couple. Courtney isn't married, but her friend Rachel has the perfect solution . . . Morgan Lucas

Courtney and Morgan have been friends since high school. The two of them have always been close, at least they were until Courtney's controlling ex-boyfriend, Stan, entered the picture. After going through the relationship from Hell, Courtney needs this vacation and if having a pretend husband is the only way she can get it then she wants a husband that will be safe with no romantic entanglements. Morgan is perfect.

Morgan has been putting in a lot of hours at his shop. He could use a vacation. Besides, Courtney's plan would give the two of them a chance to spend some time together. He has missed his best bud. Courtney's idea is perfect. Morgan and Courtney set out for a relaxing week in one of the most romantic settings imaginable. What happens when pretend kisses ignite real feelings? Can best friends become lovers without destroying their friendship?

MEANT TO BE is a fun, romantic romp, a delicious example of what a good romance should be. Denise A. Agnew mixes love and friendship to create a story that will leave the reader smiling. I think that one of the features of a good book is that the reader enjoys the actual act of reading it as well as the ending. This book was a genuinely enjoyable read.

Courtney and Morgan are a delight as they fall in love. These two characters have flaws and at times, are uncertain of their own worth making them very realistic. A thread of humor runs throughout the plot, making the characters even more likable for their misadventures. I will admit thinking more than once, that Courtney must be my long lost twin when it comes to luck. Secondary characters add humor and conflict to the storyline. The setting is wonderful and the plot line is intriguing with scenes that flow together seamlessly. If you are looking for a feel-good romance, MEANT TO BE is for you.
