Cutter has a lot on his mind lately. His sister is in a relationship with two men, which he does not condone. She agrees to marry one of them, Justin, a man he hates. Since Cutter's parents are deceased, it is up to him to make all the wedding arrangements and give the bride away. He follows through, regretting not being able to talk any sense into his stubborn sister. He cannot wait for the wedding reception to end. He has just about reached his breaking point when a friend adds fuel to the fire by making some crude comments about his sister and his ex-girlfriend.
Katie came to the wedding uninvited. She plans on slipping out before Cutter sees her, but is too late in doing so. Cutter and Katie have words, among other things before Katie runs for the door. Their brief encounter leaves Katie feeling confused and upset. Then Cutter propositions her and it is an offer that Katie cannot turn down. She is still in love with him and if that means being with him with no strings attached, so be it. Can Katie prove to Cutter she made a terrible mistake in the past? Will he be able to forgive her or is their relationship doomed from the start?
I loved the first story in the LONE STAR series, UNBRIDLED, but the second, UNFORGIVEN, is just as amazing. Ms. Devlin writes a love story that sizzles and that will keep you turning the pages. The characters are memorable and the plot is riveting. It was clear from the start that Katie and Cutter are meant for each other. Katie and Cutter are given a second chance at love and their story is gripping. Ms. Devlin pours her heart and soul into writing and the end result is always mind-blowing. UNFORGIVEN is a wonderful addition to the LONE STAR LOVERS series and I am anxious to read the next installment.
