Patsy thought she had the ideal marriage until she discovers her husband having an affair and his lover is wearing Patsy’s negligee. To make matters even worse, the lover is none other than Bud’s bowling buddy, Ralphie. Humiliated, she moves in with Crystal and her brood while she decides what to do and takes over Crystal’s home and family.
Maureen’s divorced from her cheating husband and busy raising their rebellious teenage daughter. Dating is never easy but when she begins dating one of her daughter’s teachers whom Rhianna has a crush on, the gloves come off and mother and daughter wage a war of wills.
Crystal and Wes’s marriage still has the special spark of a younger couple. They engage in sex games and genuinely enjoy the special quality time they have together. Crystal’s watched first Maureen and now Patsy’s marriages collapse and begins to wonder if her own marriage is as stable as she believes it to be. Despite their friendship, Patsy’s interference in their household makes Crystal even more insecure, especially after Crystal takes on her new job and Patsy’s doing all the things for the kids that Crystal would have normally done. Meanwhile Maureen’s daughter, Rhianna, goes out of her way to make her mother’s life miserable and ends up getting picked up for being in possession of drugs and alcohol. All three women have huge issues they’re dealing with, but through it all they will stay friends and maybe, just maybe Patsy and Maureen will get a second chance at love.
COMPROMISING POSITIONS is a wonderfully fast paced look at the lives of these three extraordinary women and both the situations they face. Dara Edmondson infuses the storyline with humor that will keep readers laughing through situations that otherwise could really be downers. I can honestly say I loved all three women equally, they’re strong dependable characters who support each other through good and bad times. I felt immense satisfaction and pride just from reading how each of the women deal with their problems and have to admit I absolutely love the kick butt way Patsy gets even with her cheating hubby. Bravo Ms. Edmondson, you did a beautiful job writing this tale and I’ll definitely be on the look out for more of your work in the future.
