Andrews' DADDY WANTED is an inspirational romance that had a lot of praying in it which sometimes left me uncomfortable as if it was too much. The characters were brought back into the fold to the delight of many and to the surprise of Savvy. Watching Savvy learn to love and mother the three children was heartwarming but also heartbreaking at times. She went on instinct including letting Brodie into their lives especially as a tutor, coach and male role model to Dylan. She and Brodie had a history since they were best friends and the three musketeers along with Willow although they all parted ways many years before. Dylan was almost too good to be true with his polite manners and how he cared for his sisters and at such a young age but every now and then the teenage Dylan came through and he acted like other kids his age. There was a lot of chemistry between Brodie and Savvy and she didn't want to think about it since she felt she would be disloyal to her friend Willow. Watching them work through their anger, fears and difficulties to be there for the kids was endearing. There was fun and happiness along with sadness and pain and lots and lots of memories. There were secrets shared and revealed as well as trust issues that needed to be bridged. Only then could healing really take place. There was nice closure in the epilogue and the loose ends were tied up.
Andrews is a new to me author who writes Christian, suspense and romance novels. I look forward to reading other books in this series as well as some of the other books she has written. Although this is the only book in the series I've read I didn't feel that I was missing anything since a lot of history was given throughout.
