Damage Control

Brian Storm has a problem: he’s suddenly become attracted to his best friend. He’s finding out that she is everything that he has been looking for, and he’s not sure what’s he going to do about it.

Andrea Ray has a problem: everything she has been working for is well within her reach. All she has to do is work hard, stay focused and most of all stop sleeping with her best friend. For Andrea, however, this is easier said than done.

Brian and Andrea work for the same ad agency and they have been breaking one of its founder’s policies: no fraternizing with your co-workers. If the powers that be find out about Andrea and Brian, she can kiss her promotion good-bye.

Brian and Andrea are both very believable. Brian is caring and considerate with a touch of his former bad boy lurking beneath. Andrea is your typical overachieving workaholic woman trying to make it in a man’s world. Underneath her tough exterior, however, beats the heart of a woman looking for love even if she doesn’t realize it.

Their interactions are true to the characters Ms. Adams has created. Her descriptions and the pacing of this story will keep the reader completely engrossed. Throughout the story, we are reconnected with the characters from the previous Storm sibling novels, and fans of her previous books will be happy to catch up with all of Brian’s brothers and sisters. Ms. Adams delivers a story that had me cheering for Andrea and Brian, with an ending that definitely satisfied my expectations for this series ending. The only downside is that Ms. Adams is done with the Storms now that Brian’s book is complete, and to be honest, I’m going to miss them.
