As a friend's wedding was winding down, tattoo artist Nancy Burke spotted him, Brad Moore.  She tried to resist the pull of emotions that she was experiencing.  It was as though his body was radiating its own silent signal that only her body could hear.

Brad Moore was enchanted by the image of Nancy Burke.  He knew that he had to have her no matter what he had to do to have her warm body against his.  He knew that his body bore the scars he had gained in Iraq.  He had fought for his country and returned as damaged goods, but he had ever intention to prove to Nancy he was the man she needed.

Nancy agreed to go with Brad to explore the heat their bodies were projecting.  In her mind she wanted this to be a one night stand; she was unaware that Brad wanted more.  Could Brad tear down the walls that Nancy has around her heart to show her that he is the man she needs in her life?

Loribelle Hunt's DAMAGED was not the book I had been expecting.  Its title and description led me to believe I was in for a damaged hero or heroine.  Yes, Brad suffered physical scars from his time in Iraq; Nancy scars came from an abusive relationship, but there was not enough background history to be able to feel the tragedy they both had suffered.  DAMAGED did offer a hot reading experience.  Its sex scenes were very well written and provided a lot of intense sexual gratification.
