Darla has spent her entire life living in a small town in upstate New York. She isn't living life on the edge like her friend Wendy, but she is quietly making her dreams come true. She has her own house now, and the only flower shop in town, but no husband to keep her warm on those cold Northern nights. In fact, the most action she has had recently was when she fell out of the cake on Jordan Severn, the birthday boy himself.
Jordan has made the decision that he needs to look for more than just sex in a relationship, so he decides to marry Leslie Tarryalot, who insists they wait until after they are married to have sex. The only problem is, he keeps thinking about the girl in the cake, and keeps running into her in the most embarrassing situations.
This is a hysterical read by Samantha Winston. The situations are outrageous, the dialogue clever and funny, and her characters are warm and engaging. Ms. Winston tells a great story.
